CARLOS MELIA • BUENOS AIRES • BEEN THERE DONE THAT
Welcome to our city, the amazing Buenos Aires, capital of Argentina, and center of the gay happening these days of South America. So called the “Paris of the South” and also the “Gay MECCA of South America”, Buenos Aires has many interesting highlights, tourist attractions, events and day to day happenings to offer to all type of travelers, and a BIG plus for the Gay travelers.
More European than South American in style, but still boasting all the Latin sex appeal and flavor, Buenos Aires offers bustling streets, grand avenues, old time cafes and stylish restaurants. The locals " porteños " are renowned for their flair and cockiness, even in times of adversity. It is a city of tragedy and elation, a vibrant and cosmopolitan capital.
A very well differentiated weather seasons. The best times to come are (summer) mid November to March for those looking to experience the city but also go to the beach. For ski lovers (winter) from mid June to August. My personal favorite time of the year is mid March till Easter Holidays. >> IMPORTANT. Save time, Fill out and Print in advance your MIGRATORY FORM to enter/exit Argentinean territory. (click here)
CM • Well what can I say about Buenos Aires, being a native “ Porteño “ I love and hate the city. This mix feeling that makes it unique and to fall in love with it. From the residential neighborhoods of Recoleta, Palermo and Belgrano to the bohemian original settlements of La Boca and San Telmo. The city tells its story through time and if you have someone to show it to you in this way you will understand it traditions, melancholy and snobism of the people... Carlos Melia / CM Travel Expert.
