CARLOS MELIA • IGUAZU FALLS • BEEN THERE DONE THAT
From the native Guarani language (I) Water and (guazu) Big, meaning Big Water. Legend has it that a god planned to marry a beautiful aborigine named Naipí, who fled with her mortal lover Tarobá in a canoe. In rage, the god sliced the river creating the waterfalls, condemning the lovers to an eternal fall. The Iguazu Falls are considered to be the widest falls in the world, and the story tells that the first Lady Eleanor Roosevelt reportedly exclaimed “Poor Niagara Falls” when she saw the size and beauty of the Iguazu Falls. Located aprox. 1hs. and 40 minutes from the city of Buenos Aires. For those willing to see this magnificent creation of nature, my suggestion is to plan a trip of (02 nights / 03 days) if you are planning to see only the Argentinean side and/or (03 nights / 04 days) for those willing to cross to Foz de Iguazu and do the Brazilian side of the Falls.
FYI (75%) of the falls are within the Argentinean National Park and only (25%) are on the Brazilian National Park, and the main difference between on side and the other is that from the Brazilian side you get the best panoramic views of the falls, while on the Argentinean side you are within the falls and up close to the main jumps. In 1986, UNESCO awarded the title of the Parque Natural Heritage of Humanity.

CM • Get up close to one of the best creations of nature, feeling the power and the sound of its waters. On the Argentinean side, visit the Devil’s Throat and experience the exciting Gran Adventure Tour. On the Brazilian side have the best Panoramic views and fly over the falls with the helicopter tour. As you can see there is an option for all tastes and all type of budgets. Hope you enjoy it as much a I did...
