After my one night Luxury Glamping Experience in the Wahiba Sands Desert , on my way back to Muscat, I spent my time chasing Oasis, or as they call them locally “Wadis”

After my overnight desert glamping experience at the Wahiba Sands Desert, on my way back to Muscat, I took a few hours, out of the scheduled plan, to chase Wadis.
Mountains, crystal clear waters, palm trees and mind-blowing plantations. I spent almost all my time at Wadi Bani Khalid. This oasis, is located in the Al Sharqiya region in eastern Oman, around 126 miles from Muscat. See below how I spent my time there.

Getting there

You will be picked up on a 4×4 Wheel Drive Jeep, from your luxury tented camp. You will drive across the dunes of the Wahiba Sands Desert, for around fifteen minutes and then onwards by road for another 40 minutes, to get to Wadi Bani Khalid. Tip: make sure to bring your swimsuit, and ladies make sure to be covered appropriately, for a Muslim country.

Wadi Bani Khalid

Wadi Bani Khalid is one of the best-known wadis in the Sultanate of Oman. Its stream maintains a constant flow of water throughout the year. Large pools of water and boulders are scattered along the course of the wadi.
