Located at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park Hotel London. Seasonal cooking French inspired bistro, with a an amazing selection of wines, including many fine vintages poured by the glass. Located at the street level with its own entrance on Knightsbridge, the restaurant features a sleek open kitchen and architectural.
I experienced the culinary art of Chef Daniel Boulud first in New York city at his signature venue Daniel. Owner of several award-winning restaurants. While raised on a farm outside of Lyon and trained by renowned French chefs, Boulud made his reputation in New York, first as a chef and most recently a restaurateur. His management company, The Dinex Group, currently includes six restaurants and Feast & Fêtes Catering. His restaurants include Daniel, Café Boulud, DB Bistro Moderne, Bar Boulud, and DBGB Kitchen & Bar in New York City.
My options for the night were as follows: Appetizer the special of the day which was a Figs Salad  with goat cheese and tomatoes
Main Course: Volaille a la Provençale, roasted chicken breast, tomato confit, fennel, artichoke barigoule, lardons natural jus (£ 18,50).
And finally for dessert the Ile Flottante, vanilla floating island, mixed berries, crème anglaise, blackcurrant sorbet (£7,75). All absolutely fantastic, full of taste and and great presentation. Special big thanks to Steven Savini at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park London for the invitation, and my personal friend Stirlan Marting for sharing the evening an lovely diner with me.
