Join me explore Turkey beyond Istanbul. This time I visited the breathtaking Valley of Cappadocia in the Central Plateau of Anatolia.
Turkey has always been one of my favorite destinations. This time I spent exploring Cappadocia, a semi-arid region in central Turkey. Cappadocia, UNESCO World Heritage, is known for its distinctive “fairy chimneys,” tall, cone-shaped rock formations clustered in Monks Valley, Göreme and elsewhere. Homes carved into valley walls by troglodytes (cave dwellers). Small charming towns like Urgup and Uchisar. Also no visit to the Valley is complete without a Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Fly.
