Hotel Check IN at OKURA Prestige Bangkok | Bangkok, Thailand | So we keep on the move testing new hotel during our stay in Bangkok. This time I am a guest within my own reality, since this new hotel came to me through my partner Rubin Singer. He is being hosted at the stunning The OKURA Prestige Bangkok, for the Fashion Show he will be doing along with L’Officiel Magazine Thailand. So for the first time, I get to enjoy a hotel as a true guest, and wow this property is indeed to be enjoyed.
Our Suite is the perfect size for an urban apartment, with all the amenities and services to enjoy Bangkok in full. Literally, both Rubin and I, feel that now, we have arrived to Bangkok. The Okura Prestige allows you to discover and enjoy the City of Angels, in full sophistication, while only steps away from your true urban experience, and that to me, is the way to enjoy Bangkok.
The way I feel about this hotel, is the perfect balance, where Japanese style, service and attention to detail meets Thai tradition and soul. Example of that is the turn down amenity you get every night, replacing the chocolates that are so passe.
We are staying on the 33rd floor, at a lovely Suite with stunning views across the dynamic Bangkok skyline though triple-glazed panoramic windows that insulate heat and noise. Suites combine comfort and luxury with the very latest technological developments designed to impress business and leisure travelers. The OKURA Prestige Hotel offers a total of 240 rooms.
Club level rooms are located on the hotel’s highest floors and offer an exclusive level of privacy with bespoke services available.
The opening of The OKURA Prestige Hotel Bangkok, the first of its kind, makes a new phase in development for OKURA Hotels and Resorts. Established in 1958, with head office in Tokyo. The OKURA Prestige Bangkok harmonises the Japanese principle of “Wa” with Okura’s philosophy of “Best ACS” (Best Accommodation, Best Cuisine, Best Services) to create a hotel that provides unrivaled hospitality, comfort and luxury in a city well known and appreciated for its outstanding levels of customer service.
The hotel most dramatic and spectacular feature is the cantilevered infinity pool. You are right, not quite original… seen this before at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore, but really…. you have to give it to them, it is quite impressive infinity pool overlooking part of Bangkok’s skyline. The outdoor pool, fitness center and spa area all located at the 25th floor. Not recommended for those scared of heights. Carlos Melia Luxury Travel Curator – www.carlosmelia.com
