Le Sereno Beach Hotel in Saint-Barthelemy   |  St. Barth, French West Indies  |  It has been a while since I left St. Barth, and since then I have been craving for more and more. As I have mentioned several times, I am not a huge fan of The Caribbean, but St. Barth has fully got me and captivated me. Plage de Saline is to my own ranking, one of the most amazing beaches I have been in my life. And of course, a great destination has to be matched with an outstanding hotel, and I found the perfect match for such an idyllic destination, Le Sereno Beach Hotel, located at the picturesque Grand Cul-de-Sac.

Designed by famed Parisian designer Christian Liaigre, it’s the much anticipated reincarnation of the iconic Sereno Beach Hotel. As reinvented by Liaigre, Le Sereno is an intimate, elegant sanctuary. A beachfront gem with 37 exquisitely furnished suite and villas. It’s located on the east end of the island along 180 meters (600 feet) of beach on picturesque Grand Cul-de-Sac, a turquoise cove protected from the ocean waves by a coral reef. The site was noted by The Travel Channel as “one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.”
Le Sereno welcomed my with a stunning Private Pool Beach Suite, the highest category of Suites. (see the video below). All the comfort and technology you can expect. These luxurious and spacious suites evoke a relaxed St. Barth feel. They feature a generously sized living area and are comfortably furnished with a four poster bed, a sofa-bed, armchair, a large wooden coffee table and a desk, as well as an outside wooden deck with lounge chairs. The Suites measure from 45 to 70 m2 (aprox. 500 to 800 sqft plus garden and terraces). All Suite Plage are equipped with air-conditioning, ceiling fan, safe deposit box, private bar, flat-screen TV, Satellite TV networks, iPod station and iPod, DVD player, direct dial telephone and complementary wireless high-speed Internet access. The full size bathroom, appointed in exotic woods with granite sinks, includes a deep soaking tub and a separate shower, separate WC, hair dryer and bathrobes.

The des Pêcheurs Restaurant and Lounge, is where you will have your meals and breakfast every morning, with stunning panoramic views of the sea. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Des Pêcheurs serves fresh seafood in an elegant yet relaxed environment. The emphasis is on freshness, this is the place for fresh fish in St. Barth. Local fishermen arrive at Le Sereno on their boats to deliver their daily catch, which is complemented by the best fish and meats flown in directly from France. Before the meal or at any time during the day, you can have a drink and relax at the Lounge and Martini Bar (my favorite) at Le Sereno. The Lounge is next to the restaurant and also overlooks the bay.
Beachfront freshwater swimming pool. Beach Club with attendants. Not too crazy about the Spa or the modest Gym at the property, and I would recommend them to upgrade and re-evaluate these outlets.
St. Barth has emerged as one of the world’s most elegant and fashionable resorts. Frequented primarily by an upscale clientele, this French island attracts discriminating travelers who favor an exclusive vacation spot, and Le Sereno Beach Hotel is a true exponent of this. St. Barth’s beaches are renowned for being some of the most beautiful and pristine in the world. Many are found in small coves, which have been protected from development by strict environmental friendly zoning.
Le Sereno also offers Villa  especially created to celebrate togetherness in style and surrounded by luxury. Only 3 villas, each of 7,500 square feet of built area including decks and almost half-acre of lush landscaping garden.
Each villa features a private swimming pool, spacious sleeping quarters for eight, four luxurious bathrooms, two powder rooms, two dining rooms, private parking and all the amenities of Le Sereno Beach Hotel.
All the staff and management at Le Sereno Beach Hotel, will go above and beyond to make your stay simple unforgettable. From having your mini cooper waiting for you at the lobby to go for a ride around the island, to planing an amazing evening for you and your couple. They are committed to declare Le Sereno as a gay-friendly and welcoming property.
