Legado Mitico Buenos Aires | Buenos Aires, Argentina | Last week I had the chance to spend a night at the Legado Mitico Buenos Aires, a charming emblematic boutique hotel in the neighborhood of Palermo SOHO. Born to provide their guests with excellent service and transmit the best of Argentinean history and culture. They are emblematic because they reflect the Argentinean identity.
I was hosted at La Primera Dama (aka. The Firs Lady), one of their top suites, or how the call them Mitica de Lujo. The suite was decorated in commemoration of Evita Peron which, politics and points of view aside, could have been a bit of a nightmare to me, since I am not a huge fan of her, but it was perfectly welcoming, ample and comfortable, located on the second floor of the property.
11 Mythical themed rooms that pamper and indulge guests in comfort. Each room bears the mark of the remarcable character that inhabits them, waiting for guests to find them. They wait for those who want to unveil their secrets: History or Legend, Genius or Madness, Hero or Rebel, Literature or Slang. Love or Hate. Sometimes together. In the same room.
Mythical Deluxe/30 m2. Bed 2 x 2 m (separable into two twin beds). Pillow menu available on request. 32” LCD TV, DVD player, cable television, WiFi Internet access, telephone with national and international dialling access. Open fire, private bar, in-room safe for guests’ laptop, individual hot-and-cold air-conditioning system. The bathroom features hydro massage, shower box, double-basin washstand, hairdryer, amenities, bathrobes and slippers.
My favorite spot of the house is the living room area, where you can seat down in the morning and read a book while you have your cup of tea, or unwind and relax over a nice chilled glass of Torrontes, after a day out exploring Buenos Aires, or shopping your way out Palermo SOHO. This comfortable luminous space, generous with objects, images and texts turns into a whole new world to be explored on the ground floor of the hotel. Here, the most curious guests will find research material from different time periods and may eventually strike up imaginary conversations with the fantastic characters from Argentine history that live in Legado Místico Buenos Aires.
In the mornings, at the lounge, breakfast is server as if you were on your own house “self-service” , although the staff will kindly present to you a few options from the kitchen. Basic breakfast spread, but full of local delights.
If I would have to define Legado Mitico in a few words, and at the same time why would I recommend it to anyone visiting Buenos Aires, although Palermo SOHO is not my favorite district of Buenos Aires, when rivaling Recoleta, it would be “true emblematic Argentinean experience” bohemian, melancholic, rustic and warm feeling. There are only a few hotels in Buenos Aires that can pull this off in such way. If you like Legado Mitico you should also keep in mind HUB Porteño Buenos Aires and Club Frances. Enjoy your stay. !!!
