New Orleans Hotel Check INs  |  New Orleans, United States  |  Generally I do a post per hotel I visit when I am traveling, but this weekend in particular was rather special, and to be honest I didn’t have much time left to explore and experience the properties as I like to do. So I will mentioned and quickly share the videos of the rooms of this two hotels I tried during my Super Bowl XLVII weekend, along with my partner Rubin Singer hosted by Beyonce.

The Windsor Court Hotel, former Orient-Express property located right in the French Quarters of New Orleans. From what we heard from everyone in town, considered to be one of the top hotels in town.
Our Suite was very comfortable, featuring spectacular views of the Mississippi River. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone. Nice entry, lovely old style deco.
Classic English/French Vogue decor, 800 square feet of living and working space, oversized King bed, separate, large living room with couch, work desk and chairs, and French doors for privacy from the bedroom, private balconies among many other amenities you can see in the video. IMPORTANT Carlos Melia VIP Agreement with the hotel, when you book through me, you get the following extra complimentary VIP amenities: Continental Breakfast for 02 daily + Lunch x 02 once during the stay + Upgrade subject to availability. So keep this in mind. !!!

Tonight I am staying for my last night at the modern yet classic International House Hotel, only five block away from my previous hotel, also at the French Quarter. Hosted at a Panoramic Corner Room, in total eight in the entire hotel, offering perhaps the most compelling experience in the base building.
With 12′ ceilings and two window-walls of natural light clad in theatrical sheers and velvetine drapes, each room feels particularly spacious and freeing to the human spirit. Like New Orleans, there is an ecclesiastical and handmade element woven into the design. Gali Art’s wrought-iron bedside tables with cruciform feet, Erica Larken’s totem-inspired cafe tables and the Pagan Cross corner console ebonized and silver-leafed, are each topped with honed Calcutta gold marble. Sharp Aquos flat-screens and iPod players are within easy reach.
A generous seating area includes a 5′ x 8′ mirror, crystal chandelier and an “LM Chair”, the designer’s original chair-and-a half upholstered in antiqued velvet. The sprawling California King bed, with its 7′ tufted headboard and layers of white on white linens is framed dramatically by tall hammered-nickel lamps and animated by the slow moving Modern Fan Company “Flute” fan above. Generous bathrooms feature dark granite vanities with oval Kallista basins and an unusually elegant vanity light dressed in strands of cascading Swarovski crystals. The closet is also customized. Like the suites and penthouses, these rooms radiate this city’s signature sense of place and the optimism of this new time.
