SkyTrain BTS Bangkok  | Bangkok, Thailand  |  SkyTrain together with the Metro are the best ways to travel to some areas in Bangkok, fast, comfortable, reliable, clean and most important with air conditioning. There are two lines for the SkyTrain, the Sukhumvit Line, and the Silom Line, which I have been using for the last few days. A great way to see Bangkok from above, since the train is elevated from the street level.
The SkyTrain BTS also connects with the Airport Express train to the Suvarnabhumi Airport. Fees are divide, like in many cities in the world, by zones. You should expect to pay unto 40 THB x single ticket, but other options may apply while using day passes.
Every so often I still enjoy jumping on a Tuk Tuk, just to rough it up a bit and get the feeling of the Bangkok I use to know ten years ago when I first visit. But I must admit that the SkyTrain has changed the dynamics and flow of the city and how locals and tourists move around, specially during the fastidious rush hour. The typical station consists of two levels – concourse and platform. The concourse provides ticketing facilities and other passenger amenities as well as access to the system. The platform is for waiting, boarding and alighting from the train. Carlos Melia Luxury Travel Curator –
