About Carlos Melia Luxury Travel Curator

CARLOS MELIA / OUR HOST
Northern Africa has always captured my attention. Coming to Tunisia for the first time, I was expecting to find a new alternative to Morocco, to which I have been many times. Now what I discovered, was far more fascinaitng and yet unexpected. Tunisia, with its Mediterranean and ancient Imperial influence, stands on its own as a destination to be explored from Tunis onwards to the Sahara Dessert. Join me on this journey to Tunisia. – Carlos Melia

We recommend that you have at least two free pages in Visas section of your passport before any international travel.
Visas: Tunisia tourist visa is not required for citizens of United States of America for a stay up to 120 days. Check with your airline in case you have connecting flights overseas as part of your journey to Tunisia. It may be the case that countries you pass through en route to your destination may require a separate transit visa.
While we will assist when needed, please note that passport, visa, and vaccination requirements vary from country to country and are the sole responsibility of the traveler. If you are a US resident, you may visit Travel.State.Gov for more information on passport, visa, and vaccination requirements for various countries.

TEXTILES SCOUTING TRIP TO TUNISIA

We had wanted to visit Tunisia for years and shortly before Christmas I contacted Carlos Melia who had led a trip for a friend in Tunisia. Carlos quickly put a great itinerary together for us that was perfectly paced and covered the cultural and historical areas we were interested in. His experience and relationships in Tunisia are key as he arranged for a superb guide, the best Dars/hotels and restaurants. It was flawlessly planned and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our 9 day adventure. Having a travel specialist that knows a country well, as Carlos does with Tunisia, is paramount to a great experience!

Good morning,
We had a fabulous time last week, all executed with perfection.
A special shout-out to the form and guide (Madelena Castro) of the Porto lifestyle tour. This format was something we have not yet experienced and should be an option for every location. She showed us the people, culture, back of house type experience. I can’t say enough about it, just great.
I am looking forward to planning the Iceland adventure. Please let me know when you return and maybe we can chat on the phone to kick-off that process. Thank you.
