The Siam Hotel Bangkok almost ready to open  | Bangkok, Thailand   |  The soon to be open The Siam Hotel Bangkok is almost finished and ready to welcome their first guests in less than 63 days. Yesterday Jason Friedman – General Manager, welcomed me and a selected group of the LGBT Press and Travel Professionals to show us this stunning hotel which will change the concept of luxury and hospitality in Bangkok. Rooms will range from USD 400 on. The Siam Hotel is the first hotel in Asia to be signed by Virtuoso previous opening, mostly due to Friedman’s successful career as a hotelier  and administration of previous leading properties, such as the Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle.

Designed by globally acclaimed architect and interior/landscape designer Bill Bensley at Bensley Design Studio featuring a fusion between traditional Thai and modern fusion, including original antique Jim Thompson Houses as for a private Pool Villa and the Thai Restaurant.
16 Siam Suites, 12 Mae Nam Suites located in the Main Residence, adjacent to the spa and with convenient access to our gym, library and meeting room. Each Siam Suite features an Art Deco-style salon or colonial verandah. Pool villas are awash with lush internal gardens and features a private swimming pool and open-air roof terrace, perfect for private sunbathing, evening cocktails or intimate dining.
View of the traditional Thai house which will host the Chon Thai restaurant and cooking school. Traditional Thai food as cooked by locals.
Only 63 days left for their first guest arrival, and you can feel the adrenaline and excitement floating in the air and in the faces of all their staff, lead by the expert and professional background in luxury properties of their native New Yorker GM. Great multiple areas for guest to enjoy, relax and interact including Opium Spa by Sodashi.
More views of the main residence Suites. FYI the hotel is still under construction, so this is not the final product or look and feel.

It is so exciting to see this project come alive, since my last visit in October 2011 (see here) and now almost ready to welcome their first guests. I look forward to my next visit and experience The Siam Hotel fully operational. Best of luck to everyone at The Siam Hotel Bangkok. We will be watching.
