Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme

When are you foreseeing your hotel opening back for tourists ?
We are thrilled to announce our reopening date on September 1st, 2020.

What measures have you taken to reopen post COVID-19 ?
Please address sterilization measures, security, mandates on staff and guests testing, transportation etc.
Providing safe and clean environments for our guests and colleagues is always a top priority for Hyatt hotels globally. At Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme, we remain committed to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and want our guests to feel at ease when they stay with us, knowing they’re experience the quality they expect from the Hyatt brands, and especially from Park Hyatt. We believe in responsible and safe travel while staying vigilant and following procedures and protocols developed in consideration of guidance and information shared by the World Health Organization(WHO), The European Centre for Prevention and Disease Control (ECDC), local authorities and other leading organizations and experts like the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC).

In response to COVID-19, we have concretely created a new Global Care & Cleanliness Commitment, which includes the development of new work procedures and mandatory trainings to ensure the safety of our colleagues and guests when our hotel re-open.

These include among others:

  • The appointment of a Hygiene and Wellbeing Leader in our property
  • Enhanced personal hygiene and protection protocols for colleagues, including frequent hand washing, use of alcohol based hand sanitizer, reporting any cold or flu-like symptoms and refraining from coming to work if feeling unwell.
  • Regular colleague wellbeing checks and additional precautionary measures based on local situations that could include mandatory temperature checks and wellbeing checks of colleagues or wellbeing checks of guests during check in
  • Increased frequency of cleaning with hospital-grade disinfectants on all high-touch surfaces, guestrooms and shared spaces.
  • Implementation of enhanced food safety and hygiene protocols for restaurants, room service and group meetings and events.
  • Enhanced guestroom cleaning protocol and minimizing number of times hotel teams enter guestrooms.
  • Prominently placed hand sanitizer stations throughout hotel public and employee areas and entrances.
  • Protective masks and other personal protective equipment for colleagues and customers wherever required.
  • Additional precautionary measures in shared spaces that include protective screens at front desks and limiting capacity in elevators.
  • Removal of all high-touch hotel collateral and other materials that could increase risks – utilizing contactless technology instead.
  • Social distancing guidance in public areas across hotel properties.
  • Assessing new approaches to meetings and events, such as seating configuration, food and beverage serving options, and colleague uniforms.

How do you plan to enforce these measures and how will you ensure compliance ?
Our top priority for welcoming guests and colleagues back to Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme is doing it safely, with their wellbeing in mind.

Guided by our purpose of care and experience delivering world-class hospitality, Hyatt’s Global Care & Cleanliness Commitment builds on our existing rigorous safety and cleanliness protocols, and will include :

  • The GBAC STAR™ accreditation through a performance-based cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention program that will focus on establishing hotel environments that are sanitary, safe and healthy. The GBAC STAR™ accreditation will include detailed training, which will be complemented with regular internal and third-party auditing.
  • Trained Hygiene & Wellbeing Leader at the hotel, responsible for our hotel adhering to new operational protocols and training.
  • Cross-functional panel of trusted medical and industry advisors to help us fine-tune safety protocols and consider various aspects of the entire hotel experience.

How will these measures affect the overall regular stay and experience ?
As always, our top priority for welcoming guests back to Hyatt properties is doing it safely, with their wellbeing in mind. These measures are necessary to adapt our Parisian residence to the new sanitary rules, but we will do our very best to avoid any affect on the overall regular stay and experience.

Booking & Payment Flexibility Terms and Conditions during and after COVID-19 time.
Guided by our purpose of care and in listening to our guests, we are extending our cancellation policy to provide further flexibility to help you make travel decisions again.

Existing reservations booked prior to July 1, 2020
With some very limited exceptions, existing reservations booked before July 1, 2020, for arrivals through July 31, 2021, can be cancelled at no charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival. This includes Advance Purchase Rate reservations.

New reservations booked July 1, 2020 or beyond
With some very limited exceptions, reservations booked on July 1, 2020 or beyond – for arrival dates through July 31, 2021 – can be cancelled at no charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival.

Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme may adjust this cancellation policy during some high-demand periods (e.g., holidays or special events). When making reservations, guests are always encouraged to review the rate rules, which show the current cancellation and deposit policies for all properties and rates, to ensure they understand the cancellation and/or deposit rules for each reservation.

We continue to remain vigilant and follow the recommended procedures and protocols of the national and local authorities in an effort to ensure the safety and wellbeing of guests and colleagues.

How will you plan to maintain a level social distancing ?
Providing a safe, healthy environment for our guests and colleagues is always a top priority for Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme – even more so today.

Our hotel has enhanced operational protocols and cleaning measures in place, including placing hand sanitizers in various public areas throughout the hotel, initiating high-touch cleaning measures on things like elevator buttons, doorknobs, and places like public areas, restaurants, meeting spaces, fitness center and guestrooms. Furthermore, in an effort to ensure our guests remain in a healthy and safe environment, we are encouraging social distancing by:

  • Rearranging furniture in public spaces e.g. restaurants
  • Social distancing signage and floor decals through public areas, including the lobby, restaurant(s), fitness centre, spa, taxi stand, valet, etc.

We continue to follow procedures and protocols developed in consideration of guidance and information from various health organizations including the World Health Organization (WHO), The European Centre for Prevention and Disease Control (ECDC), local authorities and other leading organizations and experts like the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC). We will make operational changes and consider additional precautionary measures, as necessary.

Please add any additional information you believe would be helpful to raise travelers trust levels in order to visit ?
Providing safe and clean environments for our guests and colleagues is always a top priority for Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme – even more so today.  As such, we have introduced Hyatt’s Global Care & Cleanliness Commitment. It will further enhance our existing rigorous practices and include operational guidance and resources around colleague and guest safety and wellbeing. The multi-layered commitment is designed to go beyond cleanliness and include a holistic approach to caring for guests and colleagues. Three focus areas of the Global Care & Cleanliness Commitment include: 1. Accreditation by the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) at all Hyatt hotels around the world, 2. Colleague training and support resources and 3. A cross-functional working group of medical and industry experts that will offer input and recommendations across various aspects of the hotel experience.

Maintaining an utmost standard of excellence is a key goal for our teams. We took advantage of these quiet months to secure some maintenance work. As our reopening date is planned for September 1st, 2020 – we will now focus our attention to prepare our guests & colleagues return safely by implementing the highest standards of cleanliness following procedures and protocols developed in consideration of guidance and information shared by the World Health Organization(WHO), The European Centre for Prevention and Disease Control (ECDC), local authorities and other leading organizations and experts like the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC).

What is your favorite feature about your property and destination that you wish to share with my clients/readers ?
Ideally located at 5 rue de la Paix, a few steps from Place Vendôme, the Opéra Garnier and the exclusive boutiques of Faubourg Saint Honoré, Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme is awarded by the distinction of “palace” – given to the hotels that are above a five-star rating.
