Privilege Italia The Staiano Team in Capri
Privilege Italia is a DMC that specializes in Concierge Services that deliver the most exclusive Italian experiences to visitors seeking a unique tailor-made journey in the “Bel Paese”. It’s founders Mario and Francesco Staiano, are cousins who were born and bred in the travel industry; one can certainly say that tourism is in their blood. Privilege Italia was born from the idea of making tourism in Italy not only a way to visit this amazing country but above all to provide our guests an unforgettable experience, one they would fully identify with.
The Staiano family founded their Capri tour business in the 1950s, just a few years before Capri was to become one of the most fashionable holiday destinations in the world. The family has been welcoming visitors to this magical Italian island ever since!
More than half a century and three generations later, their passion for tourism and curating authentic experiences is as strong as ever. As the family has grown, so has their business flourished and expanded throughout the generations. They have consolidated themselves as the premier concierge services company in the Amalfi Coast region, an official limousine services partner to the most exclusive hotels of the region.

Q&A Travel beyond COVID-19. Insight shared from out travel partners around the globe. For follow up questions, kindly contact us directly.
When are you foreseeing your destination opening back for tourists ?
The Borders for the country included in the Schengen area (so European + Montecarlo) are opened with no risk of quarantine. For the rest of the world should be by June 15th, but there are no official news at the moment so we should wait for that, we’ll keep you posted
What measures have you taken to reopen post COVID-19 ?
Please address sterilization measures, security, mandates on staff and guests testing, transportation etc.
In terms of new measures for sure we adapted all our services and experiences to the new rules and law that we have in Italy POST Covid-19
Our cars will be sanitized after a single service. Example: In case one of our van has in its daily planning 3 transfers with 3 different clients between all the services the car will be fully sanitized each time. The sanification takes 15 minutes. Our cars will provide sanitizing gel, gloves and masks if the clients would need/request. Our drivers will wear gloves and masks. Our tour guide or leader, will wear mask and gloves. 10 of our 27 vehicles will have a fixed booth, it’s important to pre-book that kind of vehicles in advance.
Privilege Italia with her sister company ( limousine service ) provided always a staff dedicated in the main airports of Italy ( outside of the custom areas) and some ports as Naples, Capri, Ischia or Palermo (outside of the ferry) assisting and escorting clients to their driver . Now we’ll improve with a little extra a staff dedicated even in the main train stations and smaller airports . As usual on request Privilege Italia will be happy to provide a complete VIP Meet & Greet service with porterage from the door of the aircraft to the vehicle to assist clients and make all the process easier and more comfortable.
For our Boat tours and/or Helicopter the captain/pilot will be provided of mask and gloves. Before boarding, temperature will be scanned with electronic thermometers. On board Sanitizing gel and gloves will be provided for our clients .
How do you plan to enforce these measures and how will you ensure compliance?
As mentioned above, by educating and training our staff, and assisting clients needs were needed, more than ever.
How will these measures affect the overall regular experience ?
According with rules that are currently valid in our country the experiences or tours will be affected with mandatory use of masks while in outdoor and indoor common areas and limited number of people allowed to be in the same indoor space. More than ever the reservation of any museums tickets will be recommended, avoiding any type of last minute planning or walk-ins. Some tasting experiences – such as wine, cheese or olive oil tastings – will be much affected for the limited number of people allowed.
Privilege Italia will suggest the use of headsets to make the tour more comfortable for the clients and to listen on the best way the tour guide having the mask.
Booking & Payment Flexibility Terms and Conditions during and after COVID-19 time.
Privilege Italia has always been flexible, but we felt compelled to do even more during the COVID period and for the entire 2020. We are sending you attached our Terms & Conditions. Kindly feel free to share with your clients/readers upon request and if necessary.
Will you be offering any special promotions, packages and/or value adds?
We will not have any package or special promotions apart for some villas but always according with request. An important added value that we will be offering, is the possibility of a Medical Insurance (fee on request) and with a fee of EUR 100, to have a doctor on site h24 on call and personally available from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
How will you plan to maintain a level social distancing ?
Tell us about the current quarantine and restrictions within your destination ?
At the moment the quarantine is obliged for all the people coming from outside the EU borders, there is a chance to fly through Paris and avoid that but no authorities has confirmed that officially. From June 15th the borders should be reopened for some more countries. ( TO BE CONFIRMED )
Please add any additional information you believe would be helpful to raise travelers trust levels in order to visit ?
The situation in our country – since the COVID started – has been different between the northern and southern regions. The goal achieved is that the Northern region is finally coming out of the tunnel and in July should be COVID Free, while the Southern Region, has kept control of the spread and the numbers were really low. Most of the region are already COVID free (updated on June 3rd).
Now on a lighter and positive note,
Have you taken advantage of this quiet months, to curate new experiences or discover new locations/destinations? If YES Which ?
Absolutely YES, we improved our selection of tours, especially following the trend, showing that clients are looking for more and more real experiences in contact with nature, enjoying the outdoors. We are now defining the marketing material and images for our new experiences, and we will share with you ASAP.
