Q&A Travel beyond COVID-19. Insight shared from out travel partners around the globe. For follow up questions, kindly contact us directly.
When are you foreseeing your hotel opening back for tourists ?
Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco will reopen to guests effective from July 1, 2020, accepting reservations for villa private residences only.
What measures have you taken to reopen post COVID-19 ?
Please address sterilization measures, security, mandates on staff and guests testing, transportation etc.
As per the Italian government’s latest directions relating to the COVID-19 health situation, social distancing and personal protective devices are required as follows in all interactions with resort staff and other guests in order to protect each other: maintain one meter of distance and the use of face masks when indoors or outdoors if the one meter distance is not possible.
Our villas benefit from large indoor and outdoor private spaces offering a self-contained experience and ensuring a deep sense of security for our guests.
We have increased our rigorous cleaning procedures for all villas and introduced intensified hygiene and safety measures following Rosewood’s Commitment to Care global health and safety program and the Italian Government’s directions on Health and Safety protocols including the sanitation of all villas common touch points, and steady cleaning of all air filters and air conditioning systems.
In addition to this, we will avoid back-to-back usage of our villas, allowing a 48-hour vacancy between stays for deeper sanitation practices and will provide a private check-in experience directly in the villa avoiding interactions in Hotel public areas.
All associates went through a meticulous and intense health and safety training following the protocols and guidelines of the Italian health authority and Rosewood’s Commitment to Care protocols to ensure a safe working environment for both associates and guests.
How do you plan to enforce these measures and how will you ensure compliance ?
To put all this in place we have conducted mandatory trainings with the staff, we have provided all associates with a Health and Safety Guide and we have put new signs in the back of the house with reminders and explanations. We are working to introduce new mandatory checklists and departments will have managers responsible for these new procedures.
How will these measures affect the overall regular stay and experience ?
We are working to avoid any change or alteration in the guest overall experiences. The fact that our villas offer spacious private spaces and hotel services will be provided into the villas if requested, will allow to have a pretty self-contained experience and almost with no alteration compared to the past. At the moment the only change compared to the past is related to the social distancing and personal protective devices that are required in all interactions with resort staff and other guests.
Booking & Payment Flexibility Terms and Conditions during and after COVID-19 time.
Being in a partial opening situation with only our limited inventory of villas available, we kept the standard cancellation policy for villas of 30 days prior the arrival. We are flexible in case of late cancellations related to the COVID-19 emergency (in case of travel restrictions or new development of the pandemic) by keeping the deposits for future stays.
Will you be offering any special promotions, packages and/or value adds?
We are offering VIP amenities for all bookings of our villas in 2020, when booking through you as our Rosewood Preferred Partner. Instead of Spa credit we are offering a wine experience at our winery, due to the closure of the Spa facilities for 2020..
How will you plan to maintain a level social distancing ?
As a precautionary measure, suites, resort services and common areas won’t be available until further notice. Guests will enjoy the full privacy and safety of our private villas, located in the most picturesque areas of our 5000-acre estate; this will allow social distancing. In all interactions with associates, when 1 meter of distance outdoor is not possible to be kept, it is mandatory to wear facemasks. Facemasks are mandatory indoor in all interactions with associates.
Tell us about the current quarantine and restrictions within your destination ?
We are currently into a phase of significantly eased restrictions and we can move around the whole country. At the moment and until June 30 there is freedom of movement for Italian citizens from and to all the EU countries, Schengen Area, UK and North Ireland. Starting from July 1 this freedom will be extended to other parts of the world including USA and Canada (to be confirmed). Some countries, such as UK, still require quarantine for travelers coming from Italy. Each countries in Europe has different dispositions. For the most up-to-date information for travelers to Italy, we recommend to visit the official website of Ministero degli Affari Esteri
Please add any additional information you believe would be helpful to raise travelers trust levels in order to visit ?
